We’re kinda stuck on the Affordable Art Fair — lowly art bloggers tend to be so inclined. But not only because it makes us imagine the possibility of one day hanging our rustic (read: flaking, moldy) urban walls with art, but also because so much of this affordable art (well, it’s still a little out of our price range) is really fantastic: dreamy, grand, surprising. Above, Tim White’s mellow, sparkling rendering of what the term “blank slate” should muster in the imagination. After the jump, Nurit Basin reads the mind of eighties German one-hit wonder Nena. —Emma Pearse
